The City of Glendale is currently making efforts to return unclaimed checks and deposits to their rightful owners. These include checks that have not been cashed within six months and deposits that have remained unclaimed for over three years.
In accordance with California Government Code Sections 50050-50056, the City follows a regulated process to ensure fairness and legality. As part of this process, a notice will be published in the local newspaper for two consecutive weeks. This notice will provide a detailed list of all unclaimed checks and deposits. If these funds remain unclaimed within 45 to 60 days after the first publication, they will become the property of the City of Glendale.
