The City of Glendale Public Works Department is currently recruiting two Transportation and Parking Student Commissioners to contribute to the city’s transportation initiatives. These positions offer students a unique chance to play an active role in shaping the future of transportation and parking policies in Glendale.
Selected Student Commissioners will serve a one-year term, collaborating with experienced professionals to provide valuable insights, perspectives, and innovative ideas that address the needs of Glendale’s diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with city officials and stakeholders to address transportation challenges and improve parking strategies.
- Advocating for sustainable and equitable transportation solutions that benefit all residents.
- Engaging with the community to analyze feedback and recommendations on transportation-related issues.
- Participating in meetings, workshops, and events to contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a resident of Glendale at the time of application and throughout the term.
- Must be a high school or college student at the time of appointment.
- Must be 25 years of age or younger at the time of appointment.
- Must be available for Commission meetings.
- Must commit a minimum of two hours of meeting time and two hours of preparation time per month.
- Must have reliable transportation to attend Commission meetings.
