The City of Glendale has been awarded a $19,188 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® to enhance its emergency response capabilities. The grant will fund the purchase of 11 Philips automated external defibrillators (AEDs), along with carrying cases, cabinets, and accessories, for use by the Glendale Community Services & Parks department. This equipment will better prepare Glendale’s community for cardiac emergencies, particularly benefiting children, seniors, and families.
“We are grateful to the Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in Universal City for awarding us this grant,” said Onnig Bulanikian, Director of Community Services & Parks. He emphasized that the AEDs will enable first responders to provide immediate lifesaving interventions, increasing survival rates and boosting emergency preparedness throughout the city.
