City of Glendale Seeks Transportation and Parking Student Commissioners

The City of Glendale Public Works Department is currently recruiting two Transportation and Parking Student Commissioners to contribute to the city’s transportation initiatives. These positions offer students a unique chance to play an active role in shaping the future of transportation and parking policies in Glendale.

Selected Student Commissioners will serve a one-year term, collaborating with experienced professionals to provide valuable insights, perspectives, and innovative ideas that address the needs of Glendale’s diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with city officials and stakeholders to address transportation challenges and improve parking strategies.
  • Advocating for sustainable and equitable transportation solutions that benefit all residents.
  • Engaging with the community to analyze feedback and recommendations on transportation-related issues.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and events to contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a resident of Glendale at the time of application and throughout the term.
  • Must be a high school or college student at the time of appointment.
  • Must be 25 years of age or younger at the time of appointment.
  • Must be available for Commission meetings.
  • Must commit a minimum of two hours of meeting time and two hours of preparation time per month.
  • Must have reliable transportation to attend Commission meetings.
