Glendale Police Arrest Suspect in Reckless Driving Incident Following Task Force Investigation

On the evening of July 19, 2024, a motor officer from the Glendale Police Department attempted to stop a driver on an off-road motorcycle for reckless driving. The driver refused to stop, leading to a reckless evasion of pursuing officers, which ultimately resulted in the termination of the pursuit.

The Glendale Police Department’s newly established “Street Racing Task Force” conducted an investigation into the incident and identified the suspect as 20-year-old Christian Valentino Moreno. On July 26, 2024, the task force executed an arrest and search warrant in Los Angeles, leading to Moreno’s arrest on charges of reckless driving and felony evading a police officer. The motorcycle used in the incident was also impounded as evidence.

The Glendale Police Department emphasizes that traffic safety is a top priority and that reckless driving will not be tolerated. The “Street Racing Task Force” is committed to actively enforcing and investigating all instances of street racing and reckless driving within the city.
