GWP Re-Launches Home Energy and Water Upgrade Program

Glendale Water and Power (GWP) has re-launched its Home Energy and Water Upgrade Program for residential customers, in partnership with Richard Heath and Associates (RHA). This program is designed to help residents save on energy and water through an in-home survey and the installation of complimentary energy and water-saving devices.

Certified contractors from RHA, specializing in energy and water efficiency, will schedule home visits with interested customers. During these visits, they will conduct a free survey of the home to identify potential energy and water efficiency upgrades. Following the survey, a report will be generated, listing recommended retrofits customized to each home, including anticipated annual energy and water savings.

Energy-saving measures will include retrofitting existing lighting fixtures with LED lamps, installation of wall packs, flood lights, canopy lights, lighting dimmers and sensors, window film, weatherization, and more. Water-saving benefits will include the installation of faucet aerators, low-flow shower heads, high-efficiency toilets, and efficient sprinkler head replacements.

The program offers up to $2,500 worth of retrofits per customer, an increase of $1,300 from previous years. Customers interested in participating can schedule an appointment with RHA by visiting GWPHomeUpgrade.com or by calling 1-800-263-9313.
