The city of Glendale is inviting three community members to join the Hollywood Burbank Airport Citizen’s Advisory Committee. This committee focuses on addressing airplane noise from the Hollywood Burbank Airport. Members will work alongside representatives from Burbank and Pasadena to find solutions, assist in updating the Airport Authority’s Noise Exposure Map, and contribute to developing a Noise Compatibility Program. Importantly, members will ensure Glendale’s voice is represented in crucial airport noise discussions.
Participation in the committee offers an opportunity to improve the community’s quality of life, gain valuable experience in local governance and problem-solving, and network with city and community leaders. Glendale residents who are passionate about community improvement and willing to attend regular meetings are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is July 31.
