Glendale Small Business Summit Empowers Entrepreneurs

The 2nd Annual “Let’s Grow Glendale!” Summit proved to be a significant success, drawing nearly 400 small business leaders eager to gain knowledge and make connections. Hosted in Glendale, CA, the event underscored the city’s robust support for small businesses, coinciding with National Small Business Week from April 28 to May 4.

Glendale Mayor Elen Asatryan highlighted the pivotal role of small businesses in the local economy, emphasizing the city’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for entrepreneurs. Partnerships with organizations like the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the LA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) facilitated the creation of the summit.

Featuring breakout sessions covering diverse topics such as business funding, strategic planning, and public agency certification, attendees gained valuable insights from industry experts. Glendale’s Director of Community Development, Bradley Calvert, expressed optimism about the event’s impact on the local business community.

A key component of the summit was the networking opportunity provided during the closing celebration, allowing participants to connect with exhibitors and fellow entrepreneurs. Glendale’s Deputy Director of Economic Development, Soua Vang, acknowledged the invaluable support of sponsors and exhibitors in ensuring the event’s success.

Notable sponsors included Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Glendale Community College Professional Development Center (PDC), among others. The lineup of exhibitors comprised various organizations offering resources and support to small businesses.
