New Date for GWP’s Proposed Rate Adjustment Presentation to City Council

GLENDALE, California – In order to preserve reliable infrastructure and continue the City’s pursuit of green initiatives, Glendale Water & Power (GWP) is currently working on several initiatives and critical capital improvement projects, including:

  • City Solar Energy & Storage Projects
  • Scholl Canyon Renewable Biogas Project
  • Grayson Energy Center Transformation Project
  • Distribution System for Building Electrification and Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging
  • 4kV to 12 kV Conversion of Distribution Lines

The implementation of these projects will necessitate an increase in electric rates. A comprehensive rate study by customer type will be introduced to the Glendale City Council on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at 613 E. Broadway, Glendale, CA 91206, followed by a request for adoption at the City Council session on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
