GLENDALE, CA. – On Thursday, January 21, 2016, GUSD and CSEA reached a tentative agreement for the 2015-2016 school ear.
Effective August 1, 2016, a new Step 8 will be created to the Salary Schedule, in the amount of a 5% increase over Step 7 at all ranges.
Effective August 1, 2016, a 1.7% general salary increase will be applied to all salary schedules.
Beginning September 1, 2016, longevity stipends will be increased to $3 a month for every year of service beginning at year 10 and increasing at every increment of 5 years.
Finally, a new unpaid leave of absence was created for employees who do not qualify for the Family Medical Leave Act.
Both parties look forward to ratification by CSEA membership on March 5, 2016 and subsequent approval by the Board of Education.
