“Crystal Clear,” a public art project and exhibition by artist-activist collaborative Louder Than Words, will be on display in the Glendale Community College Art Gallery Feb. 25 through March 31.
Louder Than Words’ S.A. Bachman and Neda Moridpour present the project to address issues of sexual assault and domestic violence. A full list of events can be found at www.glendale.edu/artgallery.
CRYSTAL CLEAR engages education, city policy, activism and art to address domestic violence and sexual assault. It consists of a series of nomadic roundtable discussions, workshops, outdoor projections and a gallery exhibition. The workshops will engage survivors and students, while the seminars will serve as an incubation laboratory for advocates, educators and civic leaders. All events will transpire in an inflatable, transparent, bubble-tent and the roundtable discussions will be broadcast from inside to outside, inviting communities to listen, question, and participate.
The GCC gallery is located in the Library Building. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 12 to 5 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
